Contracts for coaches, online course providers, speakers and trainers

essential contracts for coaches packshot

These contracts are designed for what you deliver, not who you are. So, whether you call yourself a mentor, trainer, coach or speaker you’re in the right place.

You may be delivering an online course, or speaking at one event a year, or perhaps you’re coaching multiple times throughout the month to various delegates. Whatever your method, are you covered legally?

Our contracts are drafted by our legal and business team in consultation with trainers, coaches and speakers, so they are legally sound in accordance with UK law.

We know many coaches believe because the success of the delegate lies in the implementation of the advice given by the trainer. We’d like to say that’s right, but sadly, it isn’t always that straightforward.

That’s why our contracts are easy for you to issue with no hassle.

They’re written in language that’s easy for you, and your clients, to understand. Which means your potential delegates are less likely to ghost you on receipt of the contract.

We understand the ‘gig’ economy with all its advantages and hidden dangers, so you are covered in every eventuality.

You’ve spent months, years building your business. This investment could help ensure your hard work isn’t undone overnight.

Our definition of online and in the room

Online – you’re delivering from another location whether live or pre-recorded.

In the room – you’re delivering in real time to delegates in the same location.

Do you need contracts for coaching in the UK?

Yes is the simple answer. Like any business, you’re open to questioning. If a delegate feels like they’ve not achieved the objectives of your coaching their first port of call may be you.

If someone breaks their promise to pay you, what steps would you take to recover your loss if there’s no contract?

Here are just some of the reasons why your business needs protection with contracts:

  • Boost your profitability
  • Handle data privacy and GDPR
  • Protect your IP and copyright
  • Deal with rights to record and distribute
  • Deal with payment and non-payment
  • Deal with online working

How much do coaching contracts cost?

Our contracts are written with you in mind. We want your business to be safe. That’s why all our contracts come with:

  • Updates, at no extra charge as long as you are within your support period, whenever the law changes.
  • Access to regular webinars and group chats to keep you up to speed
  • Free access to support for 18 months with our premium range contracts
  • Access extensive onboarding videos
  • A feeling of certainty that your business is covered

Each contract is £250 + VAT, which can be reclaimed as a business expense.
