Coronavirus home working and small business tips – how to keep going

Last Updated on

We are collecting resources to help you keep your small business going whilst working from home.  Please add your useful resources in the comments and we will keep updating this.

Do you need to claim self-employed small business benefits?

Here is a link to current advice on how to claim SSP from day one or Employment Support Allowance or Universal credit.

There is a helpline for self-employed people and business owners 0300 456 3565.

You may also be able to defer any tax payments that are due – think PAYE, VAT, corporation tax and part payments of self-employed tax.

Let us know how you get on.   Please comment with any additional and helpful resources you have found.

Is time your small business went virtual and you worked from home?

Microsoft teams have just announced you can use them for free.  Click here for more details.   We are running a free event online on how to use it.  Check here for details.  If you miss it replays are available in our KoffeeKlatch customer group.

You can also find free training on how to use Skype, Webex and Zoom on LinkedIn – along with more training on how to work virtually and productively.  Click here for more information.

What is your small business plan for survival?

It is really hard to focus sometimes when everything is in freefall.   We recorded this video last week in Spain before it was all locked down.  Now is a great time to make your plan.
