Where Safeguarding meets Children's Data Privacy

How does your obligation to secure children’s data under GDPR and data privacy rules sit with your safeguarding obligations when you need to report your concerns? For some time now KoffeeKlatch GDPR customers have been working on making sure children’s data is properly (and lawfully) collected and secured.

  • When it comes to data sharing, what is your lawful basis for safeguarding reports and sharing data?
  • When and how do you have a legal obligation to share information?
  • Is that all or some of your information about a child?
  • And what about information about other family or household members?
  • Do you have to tell your ‘data subjects’ that you have shared their data (generally or specifically when you do)
  • What if they ask you if you have?
  • How does this sit with your data privacy policy?
  • Will your privacy policy empower children to understand how you process their data and their rights?

We have invited safeguarding specialist Louise Willis-Keeler and Data Privacy specialist Jo Brianti to create a live panel discussion with Annabel Kaye of KoffeeKlatch where we will be answering your questions and concerns, exploring the issues and helping you to get those proverbial ducks in a row.

If you are providing services to children or for children or supporting people who do, this is a really important and under explored area.
